I went to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa! It might not matter to you that I went to the best school in the country but it did matter to me. I loved my time there and the education I got was some of the best anywhere.
It was not all roses. I was finishing up as the school faced the worst crisis of his history and President of the school, Richard Roberts was forced to step down in shame. It did not change the quality of the education though.
The reason the school is able to put out so many amazing people that have career as U.S. Senators, ministers and CEO of large corporations is the demand of the workload required to graduate from the school!
My Oral Roberts University memory: Chapel
Oddly, my best memories are not from classes that I took but from chapel times. As someone who was a former church worker, I enjoyed the times in worship and ministry of the Spirit. Knowledge is very important but experience matters even more. Theology that does lead to encounter just makes us more dead in religion. Right?
The music that comes out of chapel is very good too. Some of it is sung in churches across America. I only wish they could worship longer but the class demand made that impossible.
Making it to chapel is something I try to do everytime I am back on campus!
The dissection of today’s image
A friend of mine has a DJI Phantom 4 and he was testing it out in Tulsa. We was able to grab the praying hands image from the front of the Oral Roberts University campus. This is the first thing you see as you come on campus with flags of every nation represented present.
Using Lightroom, I made 3 different exposures. It is not ideal but it does work for times like this. The rest is the standard HDR processing that I would do to any image.
I really do like how it turned out and I hope you do as well. 🙂
